Vieuxtemps Guarneri Violin

Introduction:

The Vieuxtemps Guarneri Violin was originally made by Giuseppe Guarneri around 1741. But, this Guarneri del Gesù instrument gained its name after being owned by the Belgian 19th-century violinist Henri Vieuxtemps. This violin costs 10.5 million - 16 million dollars.

The Vieuxtemps Guarneri Violin owner is the American concert violinist Anne Akiko Meyers which was donated to her by the violin anonymous owner on loan for the rest of her life in 2013.

That violin is the priceless 18th-century Guarnerius del Gesù violin nicknamed “Il Cannone”.

the violin was first ceated by Bartolomeo Giuseppe "del Gesù" back in 1729. One 

Guarneri del Gesù violin costs approximately 16 million dollars!  there are approximately 250 pieces only. Though they are not as fine as instruments made by his grandson Joseph Guarnerius del Gesu.
